The Electrical Transmission & Distribution (ET&D) Partnership represents a significant collaboration among industry stakeholders aimed at enhancing safety standards for workers involved in electric line construction.

The objectives of the partnership are clearly defined and include the following:

<ul>
 <li>Systematic analysis of accident and incident data to uncover prevalent factors contributing to fatalities, injuries, and illnesses affecting linemen, apprentices, and other relevant job roles.</li>
 <li>Development of recommended Best Practices tailored to address each identified cause.</li>
 <li>Formulation of implementation strategies for these Best Practices, with a focus on promoting them among partner organizations.</li>
 <li>Establishment of comprehensive training criteria for foremen, general foremen, supervisors, linemen, and apprentices, which emphasizes the necessity of fostering a shift in industry culture that prioritizes safety and health.</li>
